Armchair Travel is a great way for those with an inner wanderlust to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of places near and far with like-minded travellers, whether they are still travelling, travelled or lived in interesting places in the past, or are just interested in travel destinations and what others have discovered and experienced.

Where? Around the world, to almost every Mediterranean country, toured Japan and SE Asia, taken city breaks in Scandinavia, France, Spain, and even West Coast America, travelled overland to explore Morocco, explored almost every part of the UK, and cruised in almost every ocean - even around the Wash from Boston Haven!

That's just the destinations, and certainly doesn’t cover anything that our members got up to on their travels! - What a wealth of experience and information to share with others.

u3a Armchair Travel groups are some of the most popular u3a interest groups around the country and until now, Sleaford u3a members have been missing out!

The format of meetings will evolve, but is expected to include travel video, photography, and other presentation content, from both members and outside speakers, discussion of members' travel experiences, exchange of travel tips and offers discovered, perhaps even travel quizzes, and of course, the ability to discover and draw on others' experience to help to plan your own travel.
